Burton Nadler
Psychological Services

“After I retired a few years ago, I was motivated to document strategies and approaches I found most effective during more than thirty years in college career services”
To achieve this, Burton Nadler, GED’78, drew upon his experience as career services director at the University of Rochester. “During the pandemic, I completed my recently released ICAN Succeed Handbook, and soon-to-be published companion ICAN Succeed Handbook Coach’s Guide. The two publications allowed me to compile all lessons I learned and taught, including those drawn from a Penn GSE career counseling class taken many years past. I also prepared strategies and documents for Zoom sessions that teach ICAN (Internship, Careers, Admissions and Networking) strategies to undergraduates and recent grads. These offerings use ICAN acronym, affirmations, and action-focused techniques to yield desired outcomes.”
