Biography
Dr. Megan Botello is a Lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education. She earned her Ph.D. in Learning Sciences from the University of Delaware in 2026. Dr. Botello researches how motivational and cognitive processes, teaching practices, and interventions support student learning in mathematics.

Research Interests and Current Projects
Dr. Botello is interested in supporting mathematical cognition and motivation at the student and teaching level. Specifically, she is interested in creating and implementing interventions and identifying and designing instructional strategies to bridge motivational and cognitive supports to holistically support students’ mathematical learning and engagement.
