Biography
Patrick Sexton is the Assistant Dean of Educator Preparation and Undergraduate Programs and a senior fellow at Penn GSE. He supports students, faculty, and leaders in the Urban Teaching Residency program, the Urban Teaching Apprenticeship program, and the Independent School Teaching Residency program. He represents Penn GSE at the institutional, regional, and state levels on issues related to teacher education as we work in partnership toward a more anti-racist and just educational system. Dr. Sexton joined Penn GSE after nearly 15 years at the University of Washington in Seattle where he was the Assistant Dean for Teacher Education. His background is in both teacher education and arts education, particularly theater arts.
