Robert Zemsky is a leading proponent of three-year degrees.

The Penn GSE professor, researcher and innovator recently met with representatives from more than a dozen colleges to discuss two of the most persistent challenges in higher education: improving student outcomes and lowering the cost of a bachelor’s degree.

“There is plenty of time in three years to do almost anything you want to do,” Zemsky told the group’s members, all working on three-year-degree pilot programs at their institutions.
