The Penn GSE Health Professions Education Certificate (HPEC) is an accelerated, interprofessional program designed for clinical faculty, trainees, and students involved in a health professions field, such as dentistry, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, and other allied health fields.
The certificate program prepares individuals to successfully design, deliver, and evaluate sophisticated education programs for healthcare professionals and diverse learning environments.
| Joint Accreditation In support of improving patient care, Penn Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. |
Hear From Our Past Learners
“This program helped to make me a much more effective educator by improving my feedback processes. It also gave me time to focus on curriculum development with feedback from people trained specifically in that area.”
Nikki Scherrer, DVM DACVO
Associate Professor, University of Pennsylvania
Hear From Our Past Learners
“I cannot overstate how valuable the certificate program has been for me. The educational considerations we have today are not the same as those we had 30 years ago, and the program has brought a fresh approach to my teaching.”
Joanna Griffin, MS, RCS, RDCS
University of Pennsylvania, Perelman School of Medicine
About the Program
