"I take great pride in having led and expanded a multinational education company, serving over 14,000 students across five countries." - Carlos Mazo, GED'23

During his time in Penn GSE's Education Entrepreneurship master's program, Carlos Mazo deepened his knowledge of the challenges facing educators today and the pioneering solutions needed to meet them, while cultivating enduring connections with his classmates.
He writes, "GSE has profoundly shaped my career by providing the opportunity to meet extraordinary colleagues and significantly expand my professional network. It has opened my mind to the transformative impact of technology on educational quality and has laid a solid foundation for my understanding of educational principles."
On where Penn GSE has allowed him to go professionally, he says, "I take great pride in having led and expanded a multinational education company, serving over 14,000 students across five countries. My role was instrumental in the successful acquisition of schools in three different countries and the establishment of two new schools from the ground up. Both of these initiatives have already become profitable."
For Mazo, the best part of his GSE experience was "The on-campus workshops." Through this in-person collaboration, he was able to "forge lifelong friendships and establish professional collaborations that continue to benefit my career. Additionally, the courses on the foundations of education were exceptionally enlightening, allowing me to deeply explore the philosophical roots of education."
